Serge Hochar

Serge Hochar, owner and winemaker, Chateau Musar, Beirut, LEBANON

A Bordeaux-trained winemaker, Serge is responsible for Lebanon’s most celebrated wine, Chateau Musar, an ageworthy blend of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsault grapes. The wine originates from Lebanon’s fertile Bekaa Valley, which, curiously enough, is also a mecca for hashish and opium farming.
